Who We Serve

Sustaining the Local News That Keeps Communities Strong

Our mission is simple. We aim to help newspapers be a trusted voice in their communities. We believe in the transformative ability of local journalism to empower citizens and strengthen communities.

Local journalism isn’t just about reporting community news—it’s about being a cornerstone of democracy and civic life, as well as a source of truth for those who rely on us.

How We Got Here

Where others see insurmountable problems, we only see opportunity. In 2020, CherryRoad Technologies CEO Jeremy Gulban, much like the rest of us, began to witness a decline in local news investment across the country. Driven by a passion for quality journalism and a deep-seeded belief in its value to the American people, he sought out a way to help sustain it.

Driven by a passion for quality journalism and a deep-seeded belief in its value to the American people, he sought out a way to help sustain it. He quickly realized the impact that CherryRoad Technologies, our flagship company, could have.

Systems Implementation

“This is our way to give back. Local newspapers add so much value to the communities they serve, but are suffering in the digital age. If we can bring the tech acumen and infrastructure to help sustain them, we’ll all be better for it.” – Jeremy Gulban, CEO

Gulban quickly started acquiring local newspapers, and as for the rest of the story… well, that made front page news. Our subsidiary company, CherryRoad Media was born.

Where We Are Today

Over the past few years, CherryRoad Media has made a name for itself as a trusted owner and operator of over 90 publications across 19 states and counting.

We’re dedicated to supporting local news organizations in an ever-evolving media landscape to ensure they remain viable and serve as a trusted resource for their communities. Empowering small-town voices through innovative technology and operational expertise is what we do best.
